Overdose Data to Action (OD2A)
Utilizing grass roots methods in partnership with the Mississippi Department of Health through the Overdose Data to Action grant, high risk communities are developing coalitions for planning strategic change in their communities.
Breastfeeding Initiative
MSPHI will provide leadership, technical assistance, and systems development to the Mississippi State Department of Health and other organizations that are engaged in maternal/child health and support of statewide breastfeeding initiatives.
Primary Care Capacity Project (PCCP)
MSPHI entered into a cooperative agreement to serve as fiscal intermediary to expand capacity for and access to high quality, sustainable, community-based health care services on the Gulf Coast through the Gulf Region Health Outreach Program – Primary Care Capacity Project (PCCP).
Mental Health
The Mississippi Public Health Institute (MSPHI) will assist the Mississippi State Department of Mental Health – Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Services (BADS) with implementation of technical support services for Mississippi Prevention Alliance for Communities and Colleges (mPACC).
The Mississippi Behavioral Health Learning Network (MSBHLN)
MSBHLN was established by MSPHI in July 2017 in a partnership with the Mississippi Department of Mental Health, Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Services (MSDMH BADS) to provide professional and workforce development to behavioral health providers in the state of Mississippi.
